The first Tsogyal Rinpoche, considered an emanation of Yeshe Tsogyal, was an outstanding Gebchak nun and heart disciple of Tsangyang Gyamtso. She was looked up to as a leader at Gebchak Gonpa and revered for her high realization.

The present Tsogyal Rinpoche III, now in his late twenties, recently finished a 3-year retreat and lives near Gebchak Gonpa.
